Informing youth members and others the roles and responsibilities of the Red Cross and encourage them to contribute. Awareness on the care of their own health and that of others. The JJEDC Youth Red Cross unit is committed towards promotion of health and hygiene. YRC student volunteers were involved in the blood donation services, hospital services and other health related activities. YRC is a group movement for students. YRC provides opportunities for voluntary community service. Becoming a Red Cross volunteer is a great way to meet the needy people and help humanity. The volunteers involve in first aid, disaster, health, safety, medical and community services. Blood donation camp is conducted annually.
The Red Cross society is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human life and health. The society’s mission is providing relief in times of disasters/emergencies and promoting health & care of vulnerable people and communities.
To provide opportunities to the youth-the makers of the future, to inculcate health living habits and to contribute their values to uplift our society.
To inspire, encourage community services through training and education and initiate all forms of humanitarian activities at all times so that human suffering can be minimizing and even prevented and this climate for peace.
The NSS unit of the college is a highly reputed and recognized unit that was introduced in 2013 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. ‘Education through Service’ is the purpose of the NSS. The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Very appropriately, the motto of NSS is "NOT ME, BUT YOU". An NSS volunteer places community’ before ‘self’. Our college conducts rural camps, health awareness campaigns, helping the disabled, and other activities. NSS volunteers are always at the helm to do all these activities under the guidance of the NSS program officer.
